- TChantilly Castle is located in Chantilly, in the Oise department, in the Hauts-de-France region, in the Nonette valley, a tributary of the Oise. With the exception of the "Petit Château", built in the 16th century by Jean Bullant, the current castle is a 19th century reconstruction based on plans by the architect Honoré Daumet for the penultimate son of King Louis-Philippe I, Henri d'Orléans, Duke of Aumale (1822-1897), heir to the estate, who installed his collections of paintings, drawings and old books there.
