Making the Grand Est a European leader in the bioeconomy

Towards a more virtuous economy The Region makes the bioeconomy one of the two pillars of economic development in the Grand Est. The regional strategy for the development of the bioeconomy, a biosourced, circular and sustainable economy, aims to mobilize, with the IAR* cluster, regional actors to accelerate the transformation of the economy and territories. Objective: to make the Grand Est one of the European leaders in the bioeconomy, by supporting the development of production and the valorization of regional resources resulting from photosynthesis (agricultural, forestry biomass, household biowaste, etc.) In synergy with all regional policies, this strategy is a real solution for reconciling the economic development objectives of our region with our ecological and agricultural ambition. *IAR is the leading French Bioeconomy hub, in Europe and internationally.
